Several years ago, I developed a game called Type to Learn 4, which uses games to help people of all ages improve their typing skills. That game touched on social media, featuring one game in which the player has to compose and send text messages.
The ability to communicate clearly and effectively is more important now than ever, in our world of rapid communication and instant feedback. We should develop a Web-based game that not only teaches keyboarding and messaging basics but also encourages thoughtful, respectful means of interaction. Open debate and discussion are valuable parts of a modern society. But the ability to speak openly must be matched by a willingness to listen openly.
